Product Manager

Evidence Based Practice Institute (EBPI)
At EBPI, our goal is to make gold standard suicide care accessible to all. We strive to bridge the gap between evidence-based interventions and real-world practice through user-centric design, artificial intelligence, and the wisdom of lived experience.

We are looking for a Product Manager with a strong interest in mental health to join our small and mighty team. You will be reporting up to the Senior Product Manager and will work closely with them to deliver our feature sets for our mobile app focused on preventing suicide. You are motivated by the idea of creating a product that assists in actually improving and saving lives, and you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and work hard with an equally motivated team. If that’s you, we’d love to talk.

What You’ll Do
- Engage with clinical experts, end users, and client success to understand problems and needs  - Conduct market research to identify opportunities for new feature sets
- Write clear user stories, detailed requirements, and thorough acceptance criteria
- Prioritize content needs and ensure content is produced within expected timeline
- Collaborate closely across clinical, content, research, design, and engineering & QA team members to define problems, discover solutions, and deliver features
- Define and manage product metrics that demonstrate product health
- Actively manage Scrum processes such as stand-ups, backlog grooming, and sprint planning

Who You Are
- You have 2-3 years of experience under your belt as a Product Manager, preferably working on mobile app platforms.  You know how to work with cross-functional teams to deliver features within an Agile environment.
- You are a fast and avid learner. You quickly get up to speed on unfamiliar subject areas and clearly articulate complex problems. You proactively ask questions and deep dive into new concepts, all while enjoying the learning process.
- You are an empathetic and collaborative product manager with exceptional interpersonal skills. You easily bring multiple perspectives together and build consensus. You know how to keep the team engaged and motivated.
- You are willing and ready to roll up your sleeves. No task is underneath you and when the need arises, you support the team in whatever ways possible to achieve important objectives.
- You easily embrace and thrive within ambiguous and constantly changing environments.
- You are data-driven. You gather and analyze user and client feedback, product metrics, market research, and more to inform opportunities, make prioritization decisions and trade-offs.
- You have a self-starting mentality and know how to work independently – you plan, organize, delegate, problem solve, and meet established deadlines without detailed supervision.
- You have a growth mindset.  You are self-aware of strengths and areas to develop.

Skills/Education You Have
- Defining Scrum processes through JIRA and conducting Scrum ceremonies
- Creating user journey maps and diagrams using Figma
- Strong analytical skills with expertise using Excel, Tableau, and/or other BI platforms
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably with focus on user experience, user research, user-centric design, computer science, data science, or engineering
